We did something I didn’t think we would ever do….
We bought a travel trailer…. 🤭 I know, I know… whoopty-doo. At first glance, buying a travel trailer sounds insignificant but, for us… it changed the game. Please let me tell you why.
My husband & I are typically risk-averse; we do everything according to “the book”; we do things “in order”. Ya’ll know what I’m talking about…we’re supposed to go to college, get jobs, get married, stack money, have kids, stack more money, pay off debt, do all the things, check off all the boxes, THEN (& only then) can you cash in on your dreams. So, you keep flipping pages & checking off boxes in the prescribed order until, eventually, those dreams feel so far off or completely out of reach.
Somewhere between my daughter’s traumatic birth & the global pandemic though, I was shaken. The cold, HARD truth is, our world as we know it can be turned on its damn head in a moment’s notice. I realized that, while I am scared of financial ruin, I am utterly terrified of not LIVING life.
Our travel trailer purchase was risky; after all, we did spend a chunk of our hard earned savings on a hunk of metal that is 27 years old. Our purchase flies in the face of the crowd pleasing, aforementioned “book” and “order” but its 26 feet of proof that aaaalll of that…the book, the order, the checklist, the laundry list of reasons why you shouldn’t or couldn’t…is BS ! It’s 26 feet of PROOF that I/we/YOU can start living your dreams…RIGHT 👏🏽 NOW! It’s also the inspiration for this blog.
So, if you need a sign to do the thing you would never/could never do… Well, this it, baby. Go on & do the damn thang. ☺️
Love,
Kai 💕
